Three Empty Cups of Tea

Hello AGAIN WNDC,
I also wanted to share some recent news/scandal about the very first WNDC book club book Three Cups of Tea.

A recent article came out saying the author is full of bologna! If you remember correctly I am not a fan of this book, but I would hate for the backlash to effect organizations that are making a difference. I just didn't care for the story/author. And heck even though supposedly the author of A Million Little Pieces was full of it, I still LOVED that book (although I was bored out of my mind with Three Cups of Tea), but anyway check out these articles and share what you think about it!

Seattle Reads

Hello again WNDC!

I found out some great news about our future read for June-Little Bee by Chris Cleave.

Little Bee is the Seattle Public Library Seattle Reads 2011 featured work! This means there are some events coming up that might interest you (although they are before we are reading the book, so I'm tempted to not go, it might spoil the story!).

Here is a link to the author events, book readings, etc. mostly happening in early May.

I also picked up the free Little Bee discussion guide to bring to our meeting-which will be the joint book club one!

In the mean time, hope you are all enjoying The Slap!
